Oh don't get me wrong, I want to believe there is something else for us after this life.

But like you, until I have hard proof I will always be a hardened skeptic.

Until then, I will continue to write about mentalists.

I am indeed pessimistic. But in later stories my belief that ghosts don't exist waivers slightly for a short period of time.
